CURRENT OPPORTUNITY:    Delivery Driver/Warehouse - Tigard, OR

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Johnstone Supply has an immediate opening for a full-time Delivery Driver/Warehouse Worker.  The primary purpose of this position is to deliver orders to customers in a professional and timely manner.  A clean driving record and the ability to drive safely in all conditions are required.  The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 5:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES –

  • Deliver customer orders via company vehicle.
  • Put away stock in the warehouse. 
  • Recycle cardboard and empty branch garbage.  
  • Drive forklift and back up order picker.
  • Clean and straighten warehouse daily. 
  • Assist with counter/phone sales and calling customers to inform them of any backorders that are ready for pickup.
  • Attend ongoing training classes. 
  • Work well as a team player. 
  • Work on special projects as assigned. 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE –

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:

  • Must possess and maintain a current valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Good communication/map reading skills.
  • Ability to lift 50-70 lbs daily.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Excellent attendance and punctuality. 
  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED) and two to three years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • Past experience would include shipping/receiving, material handling, forklift, and delivery driving. 
  • Skill and ability to meet deadlines prioritize and handle multiple tasks. 
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, along with having good listening skills.
  • HVAC/R knowledge, local driving, and customer service skills a plus.
