Johnstone Supply, Inc., the nation’s largest HVACR distribution Cooperative, has a great opportunity for a Product Pricing Analyst to join our Corporate team in Portland, OR.

As a member of the Pricing team, the Product Pricing Assistant is responsible for  working proactively and collaboratively with Product Managers and other company stake holders to identify business issues, collect information, report on the drivers & root cause, and make a recommendation for corrective actions.  This role oversees the administration of the Johnstone Price Tools and Processes as it relates to market specific pricing and controls that support local, regional and national pricing strategies as well as serving as a backup for the Product Information Management Administrator.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Compiles, maintains and analyzes pricing data from vendors, competitors and Stores; Compiles and presents information to Product Manager to assist in making matrixing and regional price setting decisions.
  • Identifies methods to regularly monitor pricing by vendors, competitors and Stores to review price advantage opportunities on products.
  • Performs detailed analysis on product categories to aide in determining price sensitivity based on store sales; Compiles information to assist Product Manager in developing and implementing pricing plans.
  • Handles the entire special quote process by securing specials costs and recommending appropriate DC pricing and/or drop-ship multiplier adjustments to the Stores, filling out necessary tracking paperwork, and following up with appropriate Store(s) on the special quote.
  • Compile, review and maintaining all regional pricing & special vendor pricing contracts to ensure the appropriate Store has the correct product pricing.
  • Establishes contacts with Vendors and builds favorable, beneficial relationships with these individuals.
  • Works with Product/Data Assistants to resolve problems that arise with a particular product/contract by identifying the source of the problem, contacting necessary parties to review options, and rectifying the situation based on information gathered.
  • Works with regional representatives to provide rapid turn around on pricing needs for regions.
  • Develops and maintains full knowledge of all pricing procedures and systems.
  • Works to improve and streamline processes.
  • Communicates with Members (customers) on pricing procedures, policies and strategies.
  • Works effectively with peers, Product/Data Assistants, and Managers in heavy workload periods to ensure accurate and timely completion of department projects.       

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field;
  • One to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
